The Death Letter Project: Reflections on Mortality. This is a beautiful short film. Fifty Australians were invited to write a letter responding to two questions.

What is death? What happens when we die? Their letters in response are the focus of the Death Letter Project website www.deathletterprojects.com.

This film contains portraits of the writers alongside excerpts from their letters. I found this film very beautiful and optimistic, despite the topic. I love how each person’s relationship with their own mortality and with the loss of loved ones is experienced uniquely. This project and this short film gives us a glimpse into the diversity of emotions and collective wisdom.
