Dying for Beginners

Dr Kathryn Mannix is a British palliative care physician. She is an author of the books With the End in Mind and Listen – How to Find the Words for Tender Conversations.

This short, animated video is presented in a fairly simplistic and straightforward way. Although it can sound like it was produced for children to watch, it is in fact quite a poignant description of the dying process, and easy to understand for all ages.

I think that when people have recently learned that they have a life-limiting illness, and may still feel quite shell-shocked, too much of a medical approach can be discomforting.
